Inside DMG MORI’s factory: It’s something you have to see to believe.
By Lyndsey Vickers
Sixteen kilometres of storage shelving. AGV-guided assembly lines. Machines so big they look like boats. And a 100-year-old company that uses its own machines to build its own machines – up to 600 of them a year.
MTDCNC’s Lyndsey Vickers and Tom Skubala get an exclusive factory tour with Andreas of DMG MORI, going inside the full assembly process – from monoblock machines on QR-coded AGV flow lines to XXL gantry machines that serve the world’s most demanding semiconductor and aerospace applications. All completed in just two weeks from start to finish.
Some things you can only appreciate by seeing them in person, and this is one of them.
