Dhoot Transmission Limited has announced a strategic partnership with Israel-based RideVision to develop and localise Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) solutions for the Indian automotive market. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in Dhoot Transmission’s evolution from a traditional automotive components manufacturer to a technology-driven mobility solutions provider, reinforcing its commitment to emerging automotive electronics and intelligent vehicle technologies.

As the global automotive industry undergoes a transformation driven by electrification, connectivity, automation, and software-defined vehicles, safety technologies such as ADAS are becoming increasingly important. Automakers worldwide are integrating advanced driver assistance features to improve road safety, enhance driver awareness, and reduce the risk of accidents. Through its partnership with RideVision, Dhoot aims to play a key role in bringing these next-generation safety technologies to Indian roads while adapting them to local driving conditions.

The collaboration represents Dhoot Transmission’s formal entry into the intelligent mobility segment, an area expected to witness rapid growth over the coming years. Supported by global investment firm Bain Capital, the company is positioning itself to capitalize on emerging opportunities in automotive electronics, vehicle intelligence, and safety systems as demand for smarter mobility solutions continues to rise.

A central objective of the partnership is the localization of ADAS technologies specifically for India’s unique transportation environment. While advanced driver assistance systems have gained widespread adoption in developed markets, adapting these technologies to India presents distinct challenges due to diverse road conditions, varying traffic behavior, mixed vehicle populations, and complex urban mobility patterns.

By combining RideVision’s expertise in intelligent safety technologies with Dhoot Transmission’s deep understanding of the Indian automotive market and manufacturing ecosystem, the two companies aim to create solutions that are both technologically advanced and practically suited to local requirements. This localized approach is expected to improve system effectiveness while supporting broader adoption among Indian vehicle manufacturers.

RideVision has built a strong reputation globally for developing innovative safety systems designed to enhance situational awareness and help prevent collisions. Its technologies leverage advanced sensing, vision-based systems, and intelligent algorithms to provide real-time alerts and assistance to drivers. Through this partnership, Dhoot will gain access to globally proven ADAS capabilities while contributing local engineering, integration, and manufacturing expertise.

According to Naveen Kumar, CEO India for Wiring Harness and Electronics at Dhoot Transmission, the collaboration brings together international technology leadership and local market knowledge to create solutions tailored for India’s evolving mobility ecosystem. He emphasized that the partnership aligns with the company’s broader vision of supporting safer, smarter, and more connected transportation solutions.

RideVision Founder and CEO Uri Lavi highlighted India’s growing importance as a market for intelligent mobility technologies. He noted that the country is entering a new phase of automotive innovation where advanced safety systems can play a significant role in improving road safety outcomes and reducing accident-related risks. As awareness of vehicle safety continues to increase among consumers, technologies that enhance driver assistance and accident prevention are expected to become increasingly relevant.

Beyond ADAS development, the partnership reflects Dhoot Transmission’s broader strategy to strengthen its position within the automotive electronics value chain. The company has been actively investing in capabilities that support future mobility trends, recognizing that the automotive industry is rapidly shifting toward software-driven, connected, and intelligent vehicle architectures.

The collaboration with RideVision will focus not only on technology deployment but also on systems integration, product localization, and the development of solutions that can be effectively integrated into vehicles designed for the Indian market. By building expertise in these areas, Dhoot aims to become a significant contributor to the country’s growing automotive technology ecosystem.

In parallel with the RideVision partnership, Dhoot Transmission has also expanded its electronics business through its subsidiary, Dhoot Automotive Systems Private Limited. The company recently entered into a business transfer agreement with Bengaluru-based Multilink, a move designed to enhance its capabilities in advanced electronics and technology-driven product development.

The acquisition strengthens Dhoot’s electronics portfolio and provides additional resources to support innovation in emerging automotive technologies. Together with the RideVision collaboration, this strategic expansion demonstrates the company’s commitment to diversifying beyond traditional automotive components and establishing a stronger foothold in high-growth technology segments.

The timing of these initiatives aligns with broader industry trends. Vehicle manufacturers around the world are accelerating investments in electric vehicles, connected car technologies, autonomous driving systems, and intelligent safety solutions. As these technologies become more mainstream, automotive suppliers are increasingly required to provide advanced electronic systems and software-enabled solutions rather than purely mechanical components.

For India, the growing adoption of ADAS technologies also supports national objectives related to road safety. With one of the world’s largest and most complex transportation networks, the country presents significant opportunities for technologies that help reduce accidents, improve driver awareness, and enhance overall traffic safety. Localized ADAS solutions could play an important role in addressing these challenges while supporting the modernization of the automotive sector.

Through its partnership with RideVision and ongoing investments in electronics and intelligent mobility technologies, Dhoot Transmission is positioning itself at the forefront of the automotive industry’s next phase of evolution. By combining global innovation with local engineering and manufacturing capabilities, the company aims to contribute to the development of safer, smarter, and more connected transportation solutions for the Indian market.

As demand for advanced vehicle technologies continues to grow, the collaboration is expected to strengthen Dhoot Transmission’s role within the rapidly evolving mobility landscape while supporting the broader transformation of India’s automotive industry toward intelligent and technology-driven solutions.
