Aerospace machining is at full throttle – can your machine keep up?
By Paul Jones
Airbus is pushing towards 75 aircraft per month, and every single part needs to keep pace. That means machining faster, harder, and smarter than ever before.
With aerospace accounting for 50% of Starrag’s machine sales, this is a group that lives and breathes the sector. Starrag’s EcoSpeed with its Z3 parallel kinematic head can rough in five axes as fast as competitors do in three, while their LX blade machines cover everything from fingernail-sized drone components to 2.5-metre steam turbine blades in nickel, titanium, and steel.
Paul Jones of MTDCNC catches up with Simon Dutton of Starrag GB, the man in the know when it comes to aerospace. And if you’re in the sector, you don’t want to miss Starrag’s Tech Days in June – MTDCNC will be there filming live, so stay tuned.
