Moglix Appoints Amit Kumar as Managing Director and Chief Business Officer!

Moglix has announced the appointment of Amit Kumar as its new Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it accelerates expansion across industrial commerce, supply chain infrastructure, and technology-led business solutions.

The appointment marks a significant step in Moglix’s long-term strategy to deepen its presence within India’s rapidly evolving manufacturing and industrial ecosystem. Based in Ahmedabad, Amit Kumar will join the company’s central leadership team and lead the scaling of emerging business verticals while driving strategic growth initiatives across new opportunity areas.

Moglix stated that the move comes at a time when the company is rapidly expanding beyond its original role as a B2B procurement marketplace into a broader industrial ecosystem platform focused on digital supply chains, enterprise solutions, procurement intelligence, and industrial infrastructure support.

Amit Kumar brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning industrial operations, enterprise transformation, business consulting, and strategic management. Prior to joining Moglix, he served as Group CEO and Executive Director at Symphony Limited, where he played a major role in driving profitability, restructuring supply chain operations, and implementing digital transformation initiatives over nearly five years.

Before his tenure at Symphony, Kumar held senior advisory and consulting positions at KPMG India, EY India, and PwC India. During this period, he worked with organizations across multiple industries, including automotive, consumer durables, chemicals, steel, FMCG, and industrial manufacturing. His expertise covered areas such as procurement optimization, operational efficiency, supply chain transformation, and enterprise growth strategies.

Kumar’s professional journey began with GE Aerospace, formerly GE Aircraft Engines, where he worked in the new product development division. He also co-founded a data analytics company specializing in enterprise business modeling and advanced analytics solutions, further strengthening his experience in technology-driven business transformation.

Academically, Amit Kumar is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, two of India’s leading educational institutions.
