L&T Technology Services and Emerson Electric Co. Partner to Advance Intelligent Engineering and Automation Systems!
L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has announced a strategic global collaboration with Emerson Electric Co. aimed at accelerating innovation in engineering automation, industrial testing and intelligent systems integration across multiple high-technology industries. The partnership is expected to strengthen advanced engineering capabilities by combining Emerson’s expertise in test and measurement technologies with LTTS’ global engineering and digital transformation capabilities.
Under the agreement, LTTS will serve as a global system integration and technology development partner, supporting the design, deployment, validation and lifecycle management of advanced engineering systems powered by Emerson’s NI test and measurement platform. The collaboration is intended to help industries address growing complexity in connected engineering environments while improving operational intelligence, system reliability and deployment efficiency.
The alliance is expected to support customers operating across sectors including industrial manufacturing, transportation, semiconductors, aerospace, defense and sustainability-focused industries. These sectors are increasingly adopting software-defined systems, industrial automation, digital twins, artificial intelligence and real-time operational analytics to improve efficiency and accelerate innovation cycles.
As part of the partnership, LTTS will establish a dedicated Centre of Excellence (CoE) at its Mysuru campus in India. The facility will operate as a global innovation hub focused on engineering automation, industrial digitalization, product development acceleration, test automation systems and advanced validation workflows.
The new CoE will leverage Emerson’s NI hardware and software technologies to create advanced engineering environments capable of supporting increasingly interconnected and data-driven industrial systems. The center is expected to play an important role in developing next-generation testing infrastructure and intelligent engineering solutions tailored to evolving industrial requirements.
Industry leaders from both organizations highlighted the rapid transformation currently taking place across global engineering ecosystems. Modern industrial environments are increasingly shifting toward connected, software-centric architectures that rely heavily on automation, AI-enabled decision-making and real-time data analysis to improve operational performance and scalability.
Ritu Favre stated that engineering systems are becoming more interconnected and software-driven, creating a need for open and modular technology platforms capable of supporting faster innovation cycles while maintaining reliability and operational flexibility. She noted that Emerson’s NI platform offers the architectural adaptability required to manage complex engineering environments and accelerate testing, deployment and system validation processes.
Favre further explained that the collaboration with LTTS extends Emerson’s technological capabilities into industry-specific applications, enabling organizations to improve engineering productivity, operational confidence and digital transformation outcomes.
Alind Saxena emphasized that companies operating in mobility, sustainability and advanced technology sectors increasingly require intelligent, scalable and future-ready engineering systems capable of adapting to rapidly evolving industrial requirements.
According to Saxena, the partnership combines Emerson’s leadership in test and measurement technologies with LTTS’ engineering expertise to create advanced industrial ecosystems designed to support long-term innovation and enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.
Beyond technology integration, the collaboration will also focus on joint go-to-market strategies, sector-specific engineering solutions, expanded customer support models and integrated technology deployment programs across global markets. These initiatives are expected to help organizations accelerate modernization efforts while improving system validation and operational efficiency.
Industry analysts believe the partnership reflects growing global demand for intelligent engineering platforms capable of supporting connected manufacturing systems, semiconductor validation environments, aerospace testing infrastructure and next-generation mobility technologies. As industries continue transitioning toward automation and digitalization, strategic collaborations between engineering service providers and industrial technology companies are becoming increasingly important.
Larsen & Toubro subsidiary LTTS continues to strengthen its position in engineering research and development services across artificial intelligence, mobility, sustainability and industrial automation sectors through a global network of engineering centers, innovation labs and delivery facilities serving leading industrial enterprises worldwide.
