CNH India Achieves 800,000 Tractor Production Milestone at Greater Noida Facility!

CNH India has achieved a major manufacturing milestone with the rollout of its 800,000th tractor from its Greater Noida production facility, reinforcing the company’s strong presence in India’s agricultural machinery sector and highlighting the growing global importance of its Indian manufacturing operations.

Operational since 1999, the Greater Noida facility has evolved into one of CNH India’s key manufacturing hubs, supporting both domestic agricultural requirements and international export demand. The milestone reflects the company’s long-term commitment to India’s farming sector and the continued trust placed in its machinery by farmers across multiple markets.

The facility manufactures tractors under the New Holland and Case IH brands, producing a wide range of models designed to meet diverse agricultural applications and regional farming needs. According to the company, the most recent 100,000 tractors were produced in record time, demonstrating the plant’s increasing manufacturing efficiency and operational scalability.

To support growing market demand, CNH India recently increased the plant’s annual production capacity from 60,000 units to 70,000 units. The expansion allows the company to better serve both domestic and export markets while strengthening its ability to respond to evolving agricultural mechanization requirements.

Ravi Kundra described the Greater Noida plant as a key pillar within CNH’s global manufacturing network. He stated that the facility continues to deliver world-class, technology-driven agricultural solutions while supporting the company’s long-term vision for the future of farming.

Kundra also emphasized that achieving the 800,000-tractor milestone in the shortest production time to date reflects the strength, flexibility and agility of the company’s manufacturing operations, particularly amid increasing production volumes for both domestic and international markets.

Spread across 60 acres, the Greater Noida facility serves as a major production center for CNH’s global operations. The plant manufactures more than 3,000 tractor variants for multiple markets and currently exports products to over 90 countries worldwide. The facility also employs more than 4,000 people, contributing significantly to industrial employment and manufacturing development in the region.

The plant incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies and automation systems designed to enhance productivity, product quality and operational efficiency. In addition to manufacturing growth, CNH India has also focused on sustainability initiatives across its operations, including investments in solar power generation, water conservation and afforestation programs.

The company’s growing manufacturing capabilities have positioned India as an important global center for the design and production of small tractors within CNH’s worldwide network. This reflects the increasing role of India not only as a domestic agricultural equipment market but also as a strategic export and engineering base for global manufacturers.
