Chiron Group SE has announced the appointment of Roman Gaida as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. In his new role, Gaida will take overall responsibility for the company’s global operations and will also lead its worldwide sales function, signaling a strong focus on market expansion and customer engagement.

Gaida brings extensive international leadership experience across engineering, sales, business development and general management. Over the course of his career, he has held key roles at globally recognized technology companies, including Wieland Group, OC Oerlikon Balzers and Mitsubishi Electric, where he led the CNC business across the EMEA region. His background reflects a strong blend of technical expertise and commercial leadership in advanced manufacturing sectors.

Most recently, Gaida served as Chief Sales Officer at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems, where he was responsible for global sales, marketing and service operations. In this role, he played a key part in driving international growth strategies and strengthening customer relationships across multiple markets.

According to the company’s leadership, Gaida’s appointment represents a strategic step in reinforcing Chiron Group’s global positioning. His ability to integrate sales, technology and operational execution is expected to play a critical role in shaping the company’s next phase of growth. With increasing competition and evolving customer demands in the machine tool industry, strong leadership with both technical and commercial insight is essential.

The decision to combine the CEO role with responsibility for global sales highlights the company’s intent to align strategic direction closely with market needs. By bringing sales leadership directly under the CEO, Chiron Group aims to enhance responsiveness, improve customer focus and accelerate business development initiatives.

Chairman of the Board Armin Schmiedeberg emphasized that Gaida’s career journey—from CNC machining roots to leading international organizations—makes him a forward-looking addition to the leadership team. His structured understanding of global markets and customer requirements is expected to bring fresh momentum to the organization.

Markus Unterstein, CFO and spokesperson of the Group Executive Committee, also highlighted the importance of Gaida’s international sales experience and market knowledge. His leadership is anticipated to strengthen collaboration between sales, technology and operational teams, ensuring a more integrated approach to delivering value to customers.

Overall, the appointment of Roman Gaida marks a significant leadership transition for Chiron Group. With a strong emphasis on global sales, innovation and operational excellence, the company is positioning itself to navigate industry challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the global manufacturing landscape.
