Innovative Cutter Boosts Aluminium Machining Efficiency

A breakthrough in aluminium machining technology has been unveiled with the introduction of the solid carbide single-fluted cutter AL. This tool is engineered for high-performance applications in the e-mobility, aerospace, and engineering sectors.

The new cutter boasts a 51% longer tool life, ensuring durability and efficiency. Users can also expect a low-burr finish and excellent surface quality, which are crucial for precision manufacturing. Notably, it operates with low power consumption and offers reliable chip removal, making it both an economical and an environmentally-friendly choice.

A standout feature of the cutter is its large polished flutes, which enhance safe machining processes. Furthermore, the thin Carbo+ coating applied to the cutter helps maintain ultra-sharp cutting edges. This makes the cutter particularly suitable for dry and Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) machining, providing versatility across various manufacturing conditions.

The cutter is available in four distinct designs, catering to diverse machining requirements. Among these is an extra-long version with neck clearance, expanding the tool’s usability for complex machining tasks.
