Hyundai Motor India Limited launches new Hyundai Verna to strengthen premium sedan segment!

Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the latest version of the Hyundai Verna, reinforcing its presence in India’s premium mid-size sedan segment. The updated model starts at ₹10,98,400 and introduces refreshed styling, enhanced connectivity technologies and improved performance options aimed at modern car buyers seeking a balance of comfort, performance and advanced features.

The new Verna has been developed to deliver a refined driving experience while maintaining Hyundai’s focus on safety, stability and technological innovation. With a redesigned exterior, upgraded interior features and advanced driver assistance technologies, the sedan is positioned as one of the most feature-rich vehicles in its category.

According to Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, the launch reflects the company’s continued commitment to engineering excellence and customer-focused product development. He noted that the new Verna combines performance, safety and premium design while offering modern features that appeal to customers looking for an engaging yet comfortable driving experience.

The exterior design of the sedan has been updated with a more dynamic appearance. Key design elements include a black chrome radiator grille, dual LED projector headlamps and redesigned front and rear bumpers. The vehicle also features R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels that enhance its overall road presence. With a wheelbase of 2,670 mm, a width of 1,765 mm and an overall length of 4,565 mm, the sedan offers a spacious cabin while maintaining balanced proportions.

Inside the cabin, Hyundai has focused on improving comfort and driver-centric functionality. The interior features a driver-oriented cockpit with a D-cut steering wheel, leatherette seat upholstery and electrically adjustable seats for both the driver and front passenger. Additional convenience features include a rear window sunshade, a smart trunk system and a 528-litre boot capacity designed to support long-distance travel and everyday practicality.

Technology is a major highlight of the new Verna. The sedan includes Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car platform, which provides more than 70 connected features and over 350 voice commands. The digital interface is centered around a dual 10.25-inch integrated display that combines the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, offering improved driver interaction and enhanced in-car connectivity.

The vehicle is available with two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). The second is a 1.5-litre turbocharged GDi petrol engine offered with a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. These powertrain options are designed to deliver both efficient everyday driving and stronger performance for enthusiasts.

Safety remains a key focus for the new model. The sedan offers more than 75 safety features, including Hyundai SmartSense Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, multiple airbags and electronic stability control technologies designed to enhance vehicle stability and occupant protection.
