TVS Mobility Private Limited signs MoU with PALFINGER AG to support India expansion and Pune manufacturing facility!
TVS Mobility Private Limited (TVS Mobility Group) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PALFINGER AG to provide integrated supply chain, dealership, aftermarket, rental and mobility services for PALFINGER’s operations in India. The collaboration is designed to strengthen PALFINGER’s presence in the country while establishing long-term customer support and service capabilities aligned with its global Strategy 2030+ roadmap.
As part of its expansion strategy, PALFINGER will invest ₹350 crore in the first phase to set up a manufacturing facility in Pune, with completion targeted by calendar year 2027. The Pune plant is expected to serve both domestic and export markets, positioning India as an important production hub within PALFINGER’s global manufacturing network. TVS Mobility Group will play a key role in supporting the India rollout by preparing supply chain operations, enabling faster market access and building scalable lifecycle service infrastructure.
PALFINGER’s Strategy 2030+ focuses on three core pillars: enhancing customer value, maintaining balanced and profitable growth, and strengthening operational performance. Through this partnership, TVS Mobility Group will help accelerate PALFINGER’s market readiness in India by leveraging its established ecosystem of group companies and nationwide networks.
The collaboration will draw upon the capabilities of three key entities within the TVS Mobility Group: TVS Supply Chain Solutions, TVS Automobile Solutions and TVS Smart Mobility. Each will operate under separate agreements while delivering an integrated approach across logistics, dealership operations, aftermarket support and mobility services.
TVS Supply Chain Solutions will manage logistics and supply chain operations as PALFINGER establishes its manufacturing base. This includes handling inbound shipments from Austria, overseeing Free Trade Warehousing Zone operations and managing integrated warehousing and distribution to ensure seamless material flow and operational efficiency.
TVS Smart Mobility will facilitate PALFINGER’s market entry through its dealership network of more than 150 outlets across India. Its mobility platform will offer Vehicle-on-Demand services and structured deployment solutions, expanding customer reach and enhancing accessibility nationwide.
TVS Automobile Solutions will provide nationwide service and parts support through its established distribution and service network. By integrating aftermarket services with broader mobility operations, the company aims to improve equipment uptime, reduce turnaround times and enhance overall customer experience.
In addition to commercial opportunities, both companies will explore collaboration in the defence sector, combining PALFINGER’s specialized lifting equipment technology with TVS Mobility Group’s operational and logistics expertise.
R Dinesh, Director of TVS Mobility Group, stated that the partnership builds on an existing relationship and demonstrates the group’s ability to support global equipment manufacturers entering India. Andreas Klauser, CEO of PALFINGER AG, noted that TVS Mobility Group’s nationwide reach and execution capabilities make it a strategic partner for PALFINGER’s India growth plans and broader Asia-Pacific expansion.
TVS Mobility Group, with annual revenues exceeding USD 3 billion, operates across manufacturing, global supply chain services, aftermarket distribution and vehicle distribution in India and Sri Lanka.
