Iscar UK is offering an exciting opportunity to join its Technical Team as a Level 6 Manufacturing Engineering Degree Apprentice. This is a full-time employed role, allowing you to earn while you learn, gain a fully funded engineering degree, and build real-world engineering experience.
As a Manufacturing Engineering Degree Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to live customer engineering projects, supporting real machining and manufacturing challenges across industries including aerospace, automotive, and general engineering.
In this Birmingham-based role, you will gain hands-on experience in applied manufacturing engineering while supporting customers to improve machining processes using Iscar tooling solutions.
Your duties will include:
đź”· Supporting engineering demonstrations and machining trials in the Technical Centre
đź”· Learning how carbide cutting tools work and how to select the correct tool for each application
đź”· Assisting Applications Engineers with technical problem-solving for customers
đź”· Supporting customers to improve machining performance, including cycle time, tool life, and part quality
đź”· Using engineering data to measure results and recommend improvements
đź”· Producing clear technical documentation such as notes, reports, and presentations
đź”· Supporting customer projects and attending customer visits with supervision
