ABB India Launches ArTu Formula to Transform Low-Voltage Power Distribution Systems!
ABB India has unveiled ArTu Formula, a new low-voltage switchgear platform designed to address the evolving needs of power distribution and control across industrial, infrastructure, commercial, and residential sectors. The launch marks a significant expansion of ABB India’s electrification portfolio at a time when projects are demanding higher levels of reliability, safety, modularity, and compliance with global standards.
ArTu Formula has been developed as a comprehensive and flexible solution that brings together power distribution, motor control centres, sub-distribution systems, and digital integration within a single, unified platform. The solution is aimed at customers seeking standardised yet adaptable power architectures that can be deployed efficiently across projects of varying size and complexity. By focusing on modular construction and simplified assembly, ABB India is enabling faster installation and easier customization while ensuring consistent performance and quality.
A key strength of ArTu Formula lies in its scalability. The platform supports modular configurations that can be tailored to suit the requirements of real estate developments, large infrastructure projects, and industrial facilities. This flexibility allows system designers and operators to adapt electrical layouts as load demands change or facilities expand, without introducing unnecessary complexity. The optimised internal design also improves accessibility, making installation, inspection, and maintenance more straightforward over the system’s lifecycle.
Safety and compliance form a central pillar of the new platform. ArTu Formula complies with international standards including IEC 61439 Parts 1 and 2, which govern low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, as well as IEC 61641, which addresses resistance to internal arc faults. These certifications make the system suitable for critical power applications where operational continuity, personnel safety, and risk mitigation are essential. By adhering to these standards, ABB India is targeting customers who operate in regulated or safety-sensitive environments.
The platform has been designed to integrate seamlessly with ABB’s broader low-voltage switchgear ecosystem. It is compatible with ABB air circuit breakers, moulded case circuit breakers, motor starting solutions, switches, disconnectors, and digital panels. This interoperability enables customers to build a unified electrical system using ABB components, improving protection, monitoring, and control while simplifying system integration and long-term asset management. Digital readiness also supports smarter power distribution, enabling better visibility into system performance and energy usage.
According to ABB India, ArTu Formula aligns closely with India’s expanding power infrastructure requirements and national priorities such as energy efficiency, system reliability, and Make in India. By offering a platform that combines global design standards with local manufacturing and application expertise, the company aims to support both immediate project execution needs and long-term operational resilience.
With the introduction of ArTu Formula, ABB India reinforces its focus on delivering modular, safe, and efficient electrification solutions that can scale alongside India’s industrial and infrastructure growth. The platform reflects ABB’s broader strategy of enabling future-ready power systems that balance performance, compliance, and flexibility across a wide range of end-use sectors.
