IBARMIA Unveils High-Performance 5-Axis Machining Centre

IBARMIA has introduced the Z Extreme 5-Axis machining centre, a cutting-edge solution designed for precise and complex manufacturing tasks. This advanced machine is engineered to perform true simultaneous 5-axis operations, offering increased flexibility, precision, and efficiency for industries such as aerospace, energy, and advanced engineering.

The Z Extreme boasts a moving column design that provides outstanding stability for both heavy-duty and high-precision procedures. Users can benefit from powerful spindle options capable of achieving up to 12,000 rpm, with a power output of up to 84 kW and torque reaching 452 Nm.

One of the standout features of the IBARMIA Z Extreme is its expansive working envelope, with X-axis travel reaching up to 12,000 mm, complemented by Y-axis options ranging from 800 to 1100 mm, and Z-axis travel between 1100 and 1300 mm. The machine is also equipped with a configurable tool magazine, offering a standard 40-tool capacity, with an option to expand up to 134 tools based on user requirements.

To ensure precision during extended machining cycles, the machine’s structure and cooling systems are optimized for thermal stability. It comes equipped with advanced CNC control systems from Siemens, Heidenhain, or Fanuc, providing intuitive operation and seamless integration.

Optional features include integrated rotary tables for enhanced 5-axis machining, automation and pallet systems for continuous production, as well as high-pressure coolant-through-spindle systems. The machine also offers integrated probing and measurement systems, along with chip conveyors and comprehensive guarding solutions.

IBARMIA’s Z Extreme 5-Axis machining centre is supplied and supported in the UK by DTS (UK) Ltd, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions.
