Citizen Cincom L32: Setting a new standard at PES Engineering

PES Engineering, historically known for milling and fixed head turning, has leapt into a new world with the purchase of a new Cincom L32 X sliding head machine with LFV swarf control and a 38mm expansion kit from Citizen Machinery. Martin Lock from PES Engineering explains to Colin that the company needed a technology upgrade and flexibility with a machine that could do one-hit operations. The L32 is super quick, with milling capabilities and a “Y” axis on both spindles. Martin has reduced cycle times and, due to the LFV chip-breaking technology, has dramatically improved the finish quality. Machining both steel and plastic components, Martin is delighted with his first Citizen sliding-head machine and regrets not buying one sooner. He is also impressed with its ease of operation and the technical support and hand-holding he received from Citizen Machinery.
