Flight critical aerospace components cycle time reduced by over 50%!

MTDCNC recently visited T & T precision in Cork, Ireland, to review their brand new Gruppo PARPAS Diamond Linear 30 supplied from Leader CNC Technologies and Rowan met with Victor Twohig to investigate why he’s purchased this 5th axis simultaneous machine to manufacture flight critical aerospace components.
Victor explains that its now reduced the cycle time down from 66 hours to 30 hours, the billet started at 400kg and finished at 40kg and it handled the swarf evacuation with no issues and cut through the aerospace standard aluminium like a hot knife through butter with 5th axis capabilities and torque capable of cutting any materials that he throws at it!
