Today on MTDCNC, Giovanni Albanese visits RotaVal in Chippenham to look at a RotaVal bespoke fixture, designed and manufactured by SMW Autoblok Telbrook for manufacturing special valves. RotaVal involved SMW Autoblok Telbrook to work with them and produce a new type of tooling for their Doosan Puma 600 machine. The fixture has been a phenomenal success, reducing typical machining time from days to hours! The result? A high-quality product and improved bore accuracy. Adrian Whitehead and Jason Bailey from RotaVal share their experience on the difficulty in manufacturing fixtures on traditional machines and the extended time for machining parts.
