In this technical corner video, MTD’s Joe Reynolds talks with Frank Martin of #Kennametal about their new drill designed for cast iron materials. The HPR drill has a number of features that makes this drill hard to ignore if you’re machining cast iron. Frank talks you through the new design which includes, 4 margins, HP geometry a special radius on the front of the drill to aid performance and hole quality. Frank says that this best in class drill allows engineers to drill cast iron, faster, more reliably and with improved surface finish when compared to other drills.
