Having been involved in tooling for sliding head machines for many years, we have seen machine capacity trends change depending on technology and product demand. There was a period where larger machine capacity was in demand, and now we are beginning to see small component manufacturing increasing leading to sales of smaller Ø12mm and Ø16mm capacity machines.
In response to this we have increased our collet and guide bush range to accommodate this demand, including an enhanced in-house service for the regrinding of collet bores to precision intermediate sizes frequently required for sub-spindle applications.
