SkyDrive Makes U.S. Market Entrance with Plans to Develop Practical Use Cases in South Carolina

According to a SkyDrive news release, the Japanese company SkyDrive Inc., based in Toyota, Japan which produces electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, intends to enter the American market and create a facility in South Carolina.

SkyDrive, which is creating a commercialflying car,” has detailed its strategy for creating an advanced air mobility ecosystem in South Carolina while concentrating on developing a variety of use cases originating from two of its key airports in collaboration with regional and national government organisations.

The SD-052 eVTOL aircraft from a Japanese manufacturer has been the focus of SkyDrive’s cooperation with South Carolina to examine real-world use cases starting from a number of its main airports, according to a press release.

The decision to create a business infrastructure in the state and to collaborate with South Carolina in creating an advanced air mobility ecosystem was made as a result of this business development activity and the backing of the local and state governments, according to the press release. This decision will put the state in the lead when it comes to its capacity to support the commercial operations of eVTOL aircraft.

SkyDrive considers South Carolina to be the best state in which to base its American operations due to its year-round mild climate, thriving tourism industry, and accessibility of airports to major cities, all of which are conducive to the use of SkyDrive’s SD-05 eVTOL aircraft release stated.
