Siemens Launches MACHINUM CNC Digitalization Software Portfolio in the U.S.!

Siemens has announced the launch of its MACHINUM CNC digitalization software portfolio in the U.S., aimed at enhancing shopfloor performance for machine tool users and builders. The portfolio is designed to manage, analyze, and optimize operations, helping manufacturers improve productivity through seamless software integration. As part of the Siemens Xcelerator platform, MACHINUM supports digital transformation across the machine tool sector, allowing integration with both SINUMERIK-controlled CNC machines and other manufacturing environments to future-proof operations.

MACHINUM consists of three main pillars: Smart Machine, Smart Shopfloor, and Smart Virtual Machine. Smart Machine offers real-time, in-process quality control, reducing programming and material costs while increasing uptime and machining speed. Smart Shopfloor focuses on improving resource management, lowering operational costs, and boosting machine utilization. Meanwhile, Smart Virtual Machine integrates digital twin and closed-loop engineering technologies to enhance machine engineering and reduce programming costs.

Additionally, the portfolio features Adaptive Control and Monitoring (ACM), a tool that helps reduce machining times by up to 15% and extends the lifespan of cutting tools. This innovative suite provides manufacturers with the tools needed to optimize performance, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
