SIC Marking Supports UK’s Soaring Aerospace Industry!

The UK’s booming aerospace industry, which now employs more than 104,000 people, contributed over £30 BILLION to the economy last year!

This figure is set to rise significantly after deals worth a staggering £13 billion to the UK were announced at the most recent Farnborough International Airshow.

Aircraft industry standards and specifications are very specific – they require perfect marking quality while respecting the integrity of the parts, that must not be affected by the marking.

The traceability of parts and components have to meet the safety, quality and continuous improvement requirements of this most demanding of sectors.

SIC Marking UK has an exemplary track record in the aerospace sector, supplying high-precision solutions to many industry leaders, including the likes of Airbus, Rolls-Royce, Safran, Thales, Dassault, Eaton, and GE Aviation to name but a few.

Our test laboratory allows us to test the best laser or dot peen marking solutions on aircraft parts that are often in aluminium alloy, titanium or stainless steel, before each project.

The markings applied (mainly alphanumeric or data matrix codes) encompass all types of aircraft components, including propulsion systems, cabin, attachment and engine elements.
