OSG Expands End Mill Range for Precision and High-Performance Machining!

OSG USA Inc. has broadened its range of end mills with the introduction of several high-performance series, including the ExoCarb WXL-CR-EDS, A Brand AE-HFE-H, A Brand AE-N, and Phoenix lines. These additions are designed to cater to the growing demands of industries that require cutting-edge performance, precision, and reliability across various materials.

The ExoCarb WXL-CR-EDS series is specifically engineered for machining pre-hardened and hardened steels, now available in inch sizes. These end mills feature ultra-fine micro-grain carbide, ensuring superior wear resistance. The design includes high-precision geometry, which helps eliminate the need for benching or rework, making them particularly beneficial for mold makers. Additionally, the WXL coating enhances performance by offering a high oxidation temperature of +1100°C and increasing the hardness to +3100 Hv, boosting tool longevity and wear resistance.

The A Brand AE-HFE-H series is built for high-hardness steels and provides an optimal solution for flat surface machining. The composite radius shape and double-stage gash design work together to ensure cutting-edge strength and efficient chip evacuation, while the variable index suppresses chatter during high-performance operations, leading to improved machining results.

OSG’s A Brand AE-TS-N series, featuring diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, is designed for non-ferrous materials. These end mills offer center cutting capabilities ideal for plunging, along with enhanced rigidity and improved chip evacuation due to the new flute design. The DLC coating provides optimal surface accuracy and significantly improves tool life, making them a reliable choice for non-ferrous applications.

The new Phoenix PXAL DLC-coated, exchangeable-head end mills are optimized for non-ferrous materials. These tools feature a flat cutting edge for precision surface quality and a center cutting edge that is perfect for plunging. The XP4625 grade provides welding resistance and extends tool life, while the DLC-IGUSS coating improves durability. This series includes a broad selection of tool configurations such as square, radius, and reduced-shank types, offering versatility for various machining applications.
