In Pune, India, Nibe Ltd, a prominent player in defence system manufacturing, has inaugurated its cutting-edge plant. Equipped with advanced technology, including 16m and 12m Vertical Machining Centres (VMC), the facility is dedicated to producing critical defence sub-systems. It will cater to various projects such as Modular Bridges, Sarvatra bridge system, missile launcher system components fabrication, precision machining, and Electric vehicle manufacturing.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by distinguished guests including Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State for Defence; Admiral Radhakrishnan Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Uday Samant, Minister of Industries of Maharashtra. Established in 2021 under the leadership of Ganesh Ramesh Nibe (Chairman and Managing Director, Nibe Group), the company is committed to technology and sustainability.
Featuring large VMC machines and a welding training center, the plant will specialize in producing heavy engineering structures, mobile weapon launcher sub-assemblies, naval components, and more. Nibe aims to foster innovation, quality, and eco-friendly solutions, contributing significantly to the indigenization of India’s Defence Manufacturing sector.
