How are they able to run 168 hours a week??
It’s lights out operations and lots of parts for 168 Manufacturing! Thanks to GibbsCAM specialists, Midwest…
Milltronics USA Inc. has introduced its first five-axis machining center, the VM250IL-5X, alongside its new machine control, the Inspire+. These innovations aim to elevate productivity in manufacturing, particularly in handling complex parts.
The VM250IL-5X features a 10″ trunnion table and offers XYZ-axis travels of 30″ × 20″ × 20.52″. The rotary table provides flexibility with +30/-110 degrees of A-axis rotation and 360 degrees of C-axis rotation. Additionally, the machining center is equipped with a 12,000-rpm inline, Big-Plus spindle, with an optional 15,000 rpm version for higher speeds. A 40-station swing-arm automatic toolchanger is included as standard, streamlining tool changes for continuous operations.
The capabilities of the VM250IL-5X are enhanced by the Inspire+ control, designed to improve user interaction, surface finish, and cycle times. Inspire+ enables faster and more accurate simulation for complex parts and supports Industry 4.0 and IoT integrations, facilitating real-time monitoring and remote troubleshooting. The control’s open architecture also ensures it can adapt to future technological advancements, including support for five-axis machines and live-tooling lathes. This makes it a forward-compatible solution for evolving manufacturing needs, offering both immediate productivity gains and long-term scalability.
