Danfoss has announced plans to build a new manufacturing facility in Apodaca, Mexico, in response to the increasing demand for cooling technology in the United States market. The new facility will focus on the production of medium and large scroll compressors, pressure sensors for HVACR, and A2L leak detection sensors for residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration.
With an expected completion date of late 2024, the factory will initially have a production capacity of 100,000 compressor units, 1.6 million pressure sensors, and 1 million A2L leak detection sensors. The move is part of Danfoss’s ESG strategy to provide localized production for customers and to secure supply chain flexibility and security for the future.
