    ENVIRONMENTAL COOLANTS WITH UNIQUE CREDENTIALS

And secondly, the fluids are 100% recyclable, which also contributes to considerably extending the coolant’s lifecycle. The HYCUT group of products are created from plant-based raw materials. This impressive green credential is not only better for the environment, but makes the products much more pleasant to work with, when compared to traditional mineral-oil based coolants, due to low misting and excellent flushing properties. There is a HYCUT-compatible product for all the key areas of the production process and the multifunctionality means that each of these fluids complement one another. This compatibility provides the optimum recyclability, with no tramp oil (or waste) being produced, and constructively adds lubrication to processes.

    The other benefit of this compatibility feature is that lubricity/oils and additives can be controlled and monitored separately, which can lead to a much-improved service life, further reducing waste and also cost. At a major crankshaft manufacturer, a study was carried out to compare HYCUT to a single component “benchmark” coolant, and the results showed remarkable annual savings of 474 t CO2-eq. These savings, as an example, correspond to removing 51 circumnavigation flights from the sky in a year (flight distance of 40,000 km around the world and 0.23 kg CO2-eq / passenger-km).
