Rowan Easter-Robinson is with Rob Sinclair from Hemlock Engineering to talk about the Feedio with ChipLite software from Whitehouse Machine Tools that removes barriers to automation by allowing machines to go from one part to another in just ten minutes! Rob shares more details on the machine tending system with computer vision that lets the robot pick up components easily. The robot can be programmed to grab onto a rough billet from the top on the billet surface and then from the bottom for offloading on the machine surface. With grippers that are perfect for square parts, the system also works well with general rectangular or round billets.
